Kristen Greiner, LSW

Kristen Greiner is a licensed social worker in the state of Illinois. Some of her interests include working with clients who are experiencing difficulties in the following areas:

  • Grief
  • Life transitions
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Marriage and family
  • Adolescent issues
  • Post abortion trauma
  • Peri-natal loss
  • Postpartum depression

Kristen believes every individual is both physical and spiritual and that we are rational creatures. Through God's grace, healing is possible. She believes that a shared commitment between a clinician and client is a helpful component to flourishing emotional health.

Kristen works with individual men and women from adolescence through adulthood. Her Catholic faith informs her understanding of the human person from a Thomistic psychological perspective. However, she works with clients from all denominations.

Kristen is married and has three children.

She received her undergraduate degree from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I. and her master's degree in social work from The Fordham School of Social Work in New York City. She completed her fellowship from New York University Medical Center in Psychoanalysis.
